Helping Out Others

One of the cornerstones to surviving in the World of Mirth is community.

When I first arrived in Mirth as a 1st level bard, the land was a fierce and deadly place. Everything seemed so dark and so confusing, I sometimes wondered if I could survive in such a harsh land. I didn't even know where the main town wass (though it was technically behind me). So as I slogged along trying desperately to fight off frail skeletons and dust mites, I was very close to giving up altogether. Until I met a friend (Derenule aka Belkar aka Cheeseling).

Since then, I have made many friends and have overcome many obstacles because of that sense of community and friendship.

While searching for lion components for Sage, I had a really hard time with my archery. My arrows just weren't flying far enough. Nahuris, a friend I met in the Desert of Mohrum, came to Mt. Zharim and gave me a large quiver filled with Wyvern Arrows. Now, because of his thoughtful assistance, I didn't need to become invisible to do a ranged attack on monsters.

It is people like Nahuris, Sage, Tekthief, Derenule, Stanwick, Maerghraine (and so many more) that have made surviving in this sometimes difficult world easier. It also builds a sense of community and friendship, which is a vital part of Mirth. In turn, I try to help others by example.

When it comes down to it... we all were level one once.
